While Telangana Chief Minister Reddy criticised Nirmala Sitharaman and Modi for unfair budget decisions, many in Telangana praised the finance minister for the new budget.

Bharat Biotech’s Dr Krishna Ella, Dhruva Space’s co-founder Chaitanya Dora, Dr. Jalachari Ella, and others praised the 2024 Union Budget. Telangana CII Chairman Sai Prasad also liked the new plan to train young people.

Nirmala Sitharaman announced a scheme to upskill 10 million youth in 500 companies over the next five years, with each participant receiving Rs 5,000 as a stipend.

Experts believe this new scheme will help young people gain important skills for jobs. The Modi government has allocated Rs 1.48 lakh crore for education and skill development in the budget, with an aim to improve access to higher education, promote skill training, and create job opportunities.

The budget also includes a plan to train 2 million young people by upgrading 1,000 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) over the next five years. Additionally, the skill loan program will be updated to offer loans up to Rs 7.5 lakh, helping 25,000 students each year.
